Wanted: Engineering and Planning Firm for the Heating Transition

An engineering firm is being sought for a strategic investment or partnership to support the transformation of heating networks and green heat generation within a municipal network of energy suppliers.

The buyer/cooperation partner plans to invest several hundred million euros in forward-looking transformation projects over the coming years. The resulting demand for services is estimated at approximately EUR 100 million. The objective is to support the implementation of green heat projects following existing municipal heat and transformation plans. The engineering firm should focus on preliminary planning, detailed planning and implementation. The buyer/cooperation partner considers it important that the engineering firm has been active for several years in the planning and construction of heating networks and the planning of green generation facilities under HOAI phases 1–7, and that it has sufficient scale to handle the anticipated order volume from municipal utilities and energy suppliers. In addition to strategic fit, particular attention will be paid to references and growth ambitions in the municipal market.
